Drake: OVER

Finally a track to replace Kid Cudi's Pursuit of happiness as my 2010 anthem. (currently)
Just when it seemed that this album was never gonna drop and the hype had faded, Drake hits us up with his first single off "Thank me later." Only after about 6 listens I'm starting to go hoarse from all the "Yuhs" and "Ayes." Here's a feel good one for the down and out.

Jake Davis: Test Shots

Make no mistakes, photographer and videographer Jake Davis is embarking on something powerful. In addition to being behind some of your favorite music videos, such as Drake ft. Trey Songz "Successful," Davis has been working on a video series simply titled "Test Shots." Test Shots is comprised of short video portraits that not only document the style and swag of his industry friends, but offer a deeper look into defining their inner most character in a way a still image never could. If you arn't sold by th strength of the imagery, each video is backed by fresh styles and a killer nostalgic soundtrack to keep you craving more (how 'bout some old Grizzly Bear?) Sit back and watch as Jake Davis blurs the lines between Fashion Profiles and Artist Portraiture.

Crystal Antlers

This may feel like a takeawayshow but dont be fooled, Its just one big Levis ad.
Either way, Crystal Antlers shows that they can be pretty too, with an acoustic Bob Dylan cover.

Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony

After seeing two different girls (one in new york and one in boston) sporting a vivid overcoat seemingly made from a native american blanket, the google search began.
What i found was an entire line comprised of Incan-inspied woven patterns in a collaboration by Portlands weaving specialist's Pendleton and New York's specialty boutique Opening Ceremony
And if you're a dude, the line includes a bomber jacket fit to fight this winter's brisk whether youre on the east coast or west coast... and southwest. Ive already started my piggy bank.

You can check out the full line here.

Luck-One and Dekk

Portland does it again.
Maybe I'm on the wrong side of the country right now.
The best new hip hop album ive heard in a very long time. This album dropped in march and has been on loop since. This is the only record I've heard this year that truly inspires me, not just musically, but in the way i choose to live my life. Ive always said that there are some comcepts that only hip hop can touch on. This album does it.

"The New Dynamic Sound of Evan Voytas" ep

Evan Voytas first caught my attention back in January with his releases on RCRDLBL.COM. The singles I live this life here for you, and What would i do that for dominated my computer speakers for weeks, with their sunshine pop rhythms created by pounding guitars with heavy reverb, and soaring candy coated synths. I swore it was love at first sight, but soon it turned out to be just a bottled crush, puppy love, if you will. With releases from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Phoenix, and the countless Bradford Cox mp3's, I soon found us growing apart and the proof was in my Last fm play counter. - Anyways I was a goddamn fool, and He still fucking rocks. Today he released a new EP entitled "The New Dynamic Sound of Evan Voytas." The Sound is a bit New for Voytas, (M83 meets Passion Pit meets Cocteau Twins meets The Secret Machines???) but what hasn't changed is his ability to create unbelievable pop hits. His recent single off his new record, Getting Higher is a perfect example of his diversity in instrumentation. Be it loud guitars or broken electronics, the consistency of his catchy-rainbow-lovin'-funk has yet to disappoint. Check this guy out, and be seduced by the flirty groves of a pop mastermind.
